The Road to New York
Have begun the quest to run a PB at New York. Have had two nights off drinking which is the most in about a month! Have run 40kms in 3 days, and feeling pretty shattered, but after a good three weeks of training can already feel the fitness coming back quickly. Had a good 2 laps of Clapham Common tonight, 1st lap felt pretty shit and breathing not good, maybe my inhaler is not working. Second lap ran behind a guy for about 10 minutes who was moving pretty well, then pushed home quick. 40 mins in total. Side of right knee a tad tender, and calves pretty tight. Running 1 1/2 hours with Damo tomorrow so will see how that goes. Big year of running for me, and want to succeed this time and stop the rampant boozing. Is going to take a supreme amount of discipline but it is now or never....
